OEM & ODM Workflow
Customer Requirement ConfirmationRequirement Submission
The crucial step prior to thermometer customization is to understand and identify customer's specific requirements.

OEM Requirements:
Logo Customization involves size, color, position, and the printing or engraving method of logo. For instance, a high-resolution vector custom thermometer graphic is needed to ensure clear and sharp reproduction on the surface of thermometers.
Packaging Customization includes designating box material, size, shape and color. Additional features like inserts for better production protection or branding info on the box like logo, product name and even marketing slogans.
Instruction Manual is able to tailored to the customer's needs with preferred language, format, layout and design to match the overall brand identity.
ODM Requirements:
Preferred color could be designated to fulfill requirements of target market, brand identity or product positioning.
Irregular shape can be customized to meet specific needs or aesthetic preferences, creating a unique and ergonomic design for easy handling or a outstand shape in the market.
Temperature range & accuracy matters for different industries or applications. For example, laboratory thermometers may need a wider or more precise temperature range compared to a household thermometer.
The special probe length is required for measuring the temperature of deep-seated objects or in hard-to-reach places.

Contract signingRights and Obligation Defining
1. Negotiation of Terms
Presents a detailed price breakdown, covering all costs including but not limited to: raw materials, production, labor, customization and logistics. Payment schedule is included to the contract.
2. Delivery Date
The custom thermometer factory provides an estimated delivery date based on the production capacity and the complexity of the customization requirements.
3. Quality Standards & Warranty
The contract defines the quality standards (CE, FCC, FDA, ROHS) and corresponding warranty.
4. Contract Review & Signing
Both parties sign the contract after any necessary amendments. The signed contract serves as a legally binding agreement that governs the entire OEM and ODM project.

Sample ConfirmationCustomer Review & feedback
1. Functional Testing
Request For Quotation
Test the accuracy and response time of thermometer.
2. Aesthetic & Customization Checks
OEM: logo clarity, packaging design and manual formatting.
ODM: validate color, shape and ergonomics.
3. Revision & Final Approval
Address feedback about probe length, packaging and share revised samples for reapproval if needed. Then the approved sample becomes the reference standard for mass production.
4. Cost Clarity
Define who bears the cost of revisions.
5. Time Management
Set clear deadlines for sample iterations to avoid production and delivery delays.

Mass Production & Quality CheckProduction Execution
Key process checks will be executed for compliance with specs like temperature accuracy and probe flexibility.
Request For Quotation
Document results and obtain customer approval before full batch production.
Inline Quality Check
Units in the assemble line will be inspected randomly for fear of any defects.
Automated testing equipment is introduced for temperature range validation.
